Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, has highly commended the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, over the construction of Elele–Umudioga–Egbeda–Ubimini– Ikiri–Omoku Road.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the 33.5-kilometre Elele–Umudioga–Egbeda–Ubimini– Ikiri–Omoku Road is 90 per cent completed and will be inaugurated in May 2026.
The ONC’s commendation followed Gov Fubara’s inspection of the dual carriageway road project spanning Ikwerre, Emohua and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas of Rivers State on Wednesday.
The ONC, through their President General, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP) said, “We at the Orashi National Congress, ONC, use this opportunity to highly commend our amiable Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for being focused on delivering laudable projects across the state, especially this Elele–Umudioga–Egbeda–Ubimini– Ikiri–Omoku Road”.

“The ONC has monitored this project and we are highly impressed by the quality of work and level of execution. We are very happy that the project will end years of hardship and insecurity experienced by commuters along that corridor, while unlocking economic opportunities in Omoku, popularly known as the state’s “Gas City”.
“We cannot thank the Governor and the contractor enough because the road is indeed a signature project of Sir Siminalayi Fubara’s administration, which is aimed at expanding the state’s road network and boosting economic activities.”

“The ONC is very proud of Governor Fubara. He is a development oriented Governor and we are ready to re-elect him come 2027; that is the only way we can pay him back for his genuine interest in the welfare of Rivers people and the development of the state.”
“The Governor has our strong support. We therefore, call on all stakeholders to rally around and give Gov Fubara the needed support so that he can deliver greater dividends of democracy to Rivers people.”
