Orashi Youth Forum Sets Up Electoral Committee For Credible Elections

The leadership of the Orashi Youth Forum has inaugurated a five-member Electoral Committee (ELECO) following sustained pressure from registered members demanding a transparent and democratic process ahead of its forthcoming elections.
The newly constituted committee is tasked with conducting a free, fair, and credible election that will usher in a new executive leadership for the Forum.
Members of the Electoral Committee include:
Comrade Kenoye Millious (Abua/Odual LGA) – Chairman
Comrade Justice Aguyi (Ahoada West LGA) – Secretary
Hon. Isaac M. Goodluck (Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA) – Member
Mr. Chimeyedhu Umedor (Ahoada East LGA) – Member
Bro. Sokari Tennyson (Representative of Current Executive) – Member
Speaking about the development, Emeni Ibe, President General of the Orashi National Congress (ONC), commended the Forum’s leadership for yielding to the yearnings of its members and taking steps toward strengthening internal democracy.
He urged youths across the Orashi region to embrace peace and actively participate in the electoral process, stressing that leadership must emerge through credible elections.
According to him, “No one can become a president or occupy any executive position without a duly conducted election,” reaffirming the importance of due process and legitimacy.
Emeni Ibe, who is also the pioneer President of the Orashi Youth Forum and Chairman of its Board of Trustees, expressed optimism that the committee will deliver on its mandate and set a standard for transparency and fairness.
The inauguration of the Electoral Committee marks a significant step toward ensuring inclusiveness, accountability, and unity within the Orashi Youth Forum as it prepares for its next phase of leadership.
