Man Hires Armed Soldiers To Shoot Neighbour

A 44-year old man, Mr. Aina Quadri has landed in serious trouble after he reportedly hired some armed soldiers from the military barracks to settle a domestic rift and it turned to disaster in Lagos.

The armed soldiers he reportedly hired mistakenly shot one of his neighbours during the fracas and escaped leaving him to his fate.

The incident happened at Olaleye Street in Shomolu, Lagos where Quadri resided and brought the armed soldiers that shot one Adewale Dada.

The police arrested Quadri and asked him to produce the soldiers who shot  Dada. He claimed that they were unknown soldiers he just hired and did not know the particular military barracks they came from.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Quadri had domestic issues with his family and he then went to an undisclosed military barracks and brought armed soldiers to deal with some members of his family.

It was gathered that their neighbours were against his action and challenged the soldiers to go back to their barracks.
It was during the exchange of words that one of the armed soldiers shot and stray bullet hit Dada before the soldiers escaped.

Dada was rushed to a hospital where he was being treated while the matter was reported at Squad section of the Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos.

The police arrested Aina Quadri and asked him to produce the soldiers but he was unable to do so.

He was then charged before Ikeja Magistrates court before the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka for threatening public lives by using illegally armed soldiers to settle domestic issues.

He pleaded not guilty.

He was granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
However, Quadri was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 3 May, 2018.
