Showtime Flag Football: Knights Run Riot, Warriors Stay Unstoppable As Top Four Hold Firm In Week 7

Posted on May 10, 2026

The Showtime Bowl Series XIV delivered another explosive round of action, but despite the heavy scorelines and shifting battles in the middle of the table, the top four teams refused to budge, underlining their dominance in Nigeria’s premier flag football league.

The day began with a statement performance from the Lagos Knights, who dismantled the Ogun Horns 62–6 in one of the most one-sided games of the season. The Knights remain firmly in second place, showing no signs of slowing down, while the Horns continue to struggle in ninth.

The Lagos Rebels followed up with a commanding 40–9 victory over the Rivers Alphas, further cementing their grip on fourth position. The Alphas remain rooted at the bottom of the table.

One of the tightest encounters of the day saw the Cross River Ikan edge past the Delta Panthers 24–20 in a hard-fought battle. The result pushed Ikan up to fifth place, while the Panthers, despite the loss, climbed slightly to seventh.

The Ibom Raptors maintained their strong campaign with a 37–19 win over the Lagos Greenbacks, holding steady in third. The Greenbacks, however, slipped to sixth as the mid-table race tightens.

But once again, the spotlight returned to the league leaders, the Abia Warriors, who delivered yet another ruthless display, crushing the Delta Braves 58–6. The Warriors remain untouchable at the top, continuing their relentless march toward the title.

Despite movement in the middle and lower sections of the table, the top four — Abia Warriors, Lagos Knights, Ibom Raptors, and Lagos Rebels — remain unchanged, reinforcing a growing gap between the contenders and the rest.

As the season progresses, one thing is becoming increasingly clear:

Showtime Flag Football is not just competitive — it is evolving into a league of dominance at the top and fierce battles everywhere else.
