Robbers Burgles Church, Cart Away Properties

Robbers no longer respect places of worship nowadays following the recent invasion of Revival City Church in Ikeja Lagos.
Police sources confirmed that some armed robbers invaded the church at night, burgled, carted away properties and escaped.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Revival City Church premises located at Kolawole Street, off Unity Road in Ikeja, Lagos.
There was no report of stealing any cash from the church but the two Samsung television sets mounted inside the church were carted away by the robbers.
It was gathered that the members got to the church in the morning only to discover that the it has been burgled and the two television sets were missing.
The incident was reported to the police at Ikeja Division, a team of police officers moved in and investigated the matter. Two of the suspects, ThankGod Itodo, 27 and Lazarus Akam, 31, were arrested in connection with the burglary and stealing inside the church.
They were charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for burglary and stealing.
They pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O Sule-Amzat granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in sum.
The prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emuehi did not object to their bail condition.
However, they were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 5 July, 2018.
