Redeemed Church Loses N20m Bus To Robbers

Some suspected armed robbers stole a private bus belonging to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Province 27 Mega Church parish, Opebi on the highway in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Toyota Hiace bus with registration number, KJA 164 CX, said to be valued about N20m was reportedly stolen along Ekoro Road, Pipeline bus stop in Ebule Egba area of Lagos.

One of the suspects, 35-year old Ifeanyi Uzoma has been arrested in connection with the alleged missing bus. The police alleged that Uzoma and others now at large, conspired and stole the vehicle.

He was charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for conspiracy and stealing.

However, Uzoma denied the allegation and pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O Sule-Amzat granted Uzoma bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emuehi did not object his bail.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 5 July, 2018.
