Prophetess Adaobi Orjiakor, widely known as Nnukwu Ezenwanyi of Alimosho, has made a major donation ahead of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State General Meeting. Her support package includes a cow, two bags of rice, and assorted gift items for delegates and stakeholders.

The donation was announced as part of her contributions toward hosting a successful general meeting in Alimosho Local Government. Nnukwu Ezenwanyi said the gesture is her way of honouring Ndigbo culture of communal support and hospitality.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State General Meeting is scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Alimosho. The venue will bring together Ndieze, executives, women leaders, youth groups, and members from different local government areas across Lagos.

Announcing the arrangement, the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Leonard Okafor (Oba Ojoto), confirmed that it is the turn of Alimosho Local Government to host the meeting. He made the announcement at the last general meeting held in Ejigbo.

Chief Leonard Okafor commended the Alimosho chapter for its readiness to host. He described the rotation of hosting rights among LGAs as a strategy to strengthen unity, deepen participation, and give every zone a sense of ownership in Ohanaeze activities.

Accordingly, the President also praised Nnukwu Ezenwanyi for her consistent support to Ohanaeze programmes. He noted that her donation will reduce the cost of hosting and ensure that attendees are well catered for during the event.

The decision and donation plan followed a stakeholders’ meeting held at the palace of Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze, the Ezendigbo of Alimosho Local Government. The meeting reviewed logistics, security, welfare, and community mobilization for the July gathering.

Speaking at the stakeholders’ meeting, Nnukwu Ezenwanyi pledged the cow, rice, and gift items. She added that all Ndieze and key stakeholders who attend will receive take-away gift items as a mark of appreciation for their commitment to Ohanaeze.

She explained that the items are not only for the main meeting day, but also to recognize the role of traditional rulers and community leaders who mobilize their people for Ohanaeze programmes. According to her, honouring leaders encourages wider participation.

Chief Leonard Okafor described Nnukwu Ezenwanyi as a pillar of Ohanaeze in Alimosho. He said her spiritual leadership, philanthropy, and visibility among women and youth have helped to expand Ohanaeze’s reach at the grassroots level.

The Ohanaeze President urged members across Lagos to turn out in large numbers for the Alimosho meeting. He said the gathering will address key issues affecting Ndigbo in Lagos, strengthen cultural identity, and set the agenda for community development in the second half of the year.

With preparations in top gear, organizers say the combination of strong leadership from Chief Leonard Okafor and generous support from donors like Nnukwu Ezenwanyi will make the Alimosho meeting one of the most memorable in recent years.
