Senator Adeola Yayi Mourns Actor Taiwo Hassan ‘Ogogo’, Describes Death As Great Loss To Nigeria

Senator Solomon Adeola, the distinguished lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed sadness over the passing of veteran actor, Mr. Taiwo Babatunde Hassan, popularly known as “Ogogo”.

 

In a condolence message to the family on Sunday, Senator Adeola described the demise of the thespian after a period of illness as a great loss to the creative industry, Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

The senator said he was personally pained by the death of Mr. Hassan, whom he described as a loyal supporter.

 

“I am greatly saddened by the death of a brother who believed and worked assiduously for my cause and the cause of our people. I sympathize with his immediate family for their efforts and struggles to keep the dearly departed alive following his illness. God knows best in all circumstances,” Senator Adeola stated.

Senator Adeola noted that the late actor used his platform in film making and public advocacy to promote positive values and a better society.

“The death of Mr. Hassan, popularly called Ogogo by fans, is a great loss to the creative and entertainment industry. His demise at this time is a loss to the family, Ogun State and indeed, Nigeria,” he said.

“The late actor’s role in the drive for a better society through film making and other positive advocacy will always be remembered. He left a legacy worthy of emulation.”

The senator assured the bereaved family of his continued support during the difficult period.

“I promise to continue to support the immediate family in their hour of need, and the good deeds of the patriarch of the family to society will not be forgotten,” he added.

 

Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late actor and strength for the family.

He prayed for “the peaceful repose of the soul of the thespian and fortitude for the immediate family to bear the irreparable loss of our dearly departed.”
