Kalu Hails Otti’s Support For President Tinubu, Welcomes Collaboration At Any Level

The former Governor of Abia State and the Senator representing Abia North, Dr.  Orji Uzor Kalu has thrown his weight behind Abia State Governor Alex Otti for affirming the fact that he his supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of 2027 election.

The Chairman Senate Committee on South East Commission in a video while responding to a question on his reaction to Otti’s support for the President, said “I am happy for the Governor for deeming it appropriate to support Mr President. Either you call it alliance with Labour Party or Gov Otti, I just want to congratulate people of Abia because that is a best position that will have very positive impact on the people of the State”

The Abia Governor, who had said he is supporting President Bola Tinubu, noted that his support for the President is in his capacity as a governor and member of the National Economic Council.

Otti made the clarification in an exclusive interview aired on ARISE Television on Friday, after he was asked whether his support for Tinubu amounted to a “comfortable arrangement” between him, a Labour Party governor, and the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The governor said he was not in a position to oppose Tinubu, adding that doing so while being part of the government could lead to “implosion”.

Kalu assures the Governor that this support will go a long way and they will be ready to work with the Governor at any level.
