Otti Appointees From Ukwa Ngwa Reject Needless Sub-Ethnic Slants

Posted on October 9, 2026

Ukwa Ngwa appointees serving in the administration of Governor Alex Otti have rejected attempts to give a sub-ethnic slant to campaigns against the Governor, describing such narratives as politically motivated and misleading.

The appointees stated this in a resolution issued after a meeting on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

RESOLUTIONS OF UKWA NGWA APPOINTEES SERVING IN DR. ALEX CHIOMA OTTI’S ADMINISTRATION

We, the undersigned sons and daughters of Ukwa La Ngwa, who are appointees of the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Governor of Abia State, having noted with grave concern, the very disjointed and politically motivated narratives flying around in the social media, especially those creating the wrong impression that the people of Ukwa La Ngwa are against this administration, hereby unequivocally state as follows:

That we wholeheartedly identify with the visions and policies of the administration of our son, His Excellency, Governor Alex C. Otti, OFR.

That we acknowledge the developmental interventions of the Governor across the entire state, especially in the Ukwa La Ngwa areas, and more specifically, in Ala Ngwa.

That we shall stoutly resist, within the limits of legitimate democratic engagement, any attempt by any politician or group of politicians to denigrate our people and present in a negative light, our very beautiful relationship with our son, the Governor, and his administration.

The infantile narratives about whether Governor Alex Chioma Otti is Ngwa or not are not only unfortunate but connote absolute lack of knowledge or idiocy.

Not even Dr. Alex Otti can reverse, after three generations before him, the facts of his land of birth and the potency of the earth that hosts his umbilical cord after birth. No one decides such human fate for themselves, only God. Therefore, we will not descend to the level of responding to such retarded argument. In any case, we also believe that the incisive and didactic article scripted by Barr. Ememanka, in response to those who might be arguing in ignorance, firmly rests the matter.

That sons and daughters of Ukwa La Ngwa are well represented in the administration of Governor Alex Otti, making meaningful contributions to the developmental agenda of the Governor.

That we hereby advise all Ukwa La Ngwa sons and daughters whose stock-in-trade is to seek to embarrass our collective sensibilities as a people by giving a needless sub-ethnic slant to their campaigns against the Governor to retrace their steps immediately.

That we respect and encourage the free expression of political opinions, including the right to decent and matured dissent, but we take serious exception to the use of the Ukwa La Ngwa political platform to pursue dead political aspirations of failed politicians, especially by those who are not indigenes of Ukwa La Ngwa.

That we urge our people to remain calm and allow the present administration, which has demonstrated a clear and unmistakable desire to rebuild the broken walls of development in the State, to continue in its trajectory.

That we hereby reaffirm our continued, unalloyed and determined support for our brother and son, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Governor of Abia State, and will fully support his re-election.
