Chain Reactions Africa (CRA), a culture-centric public relations and integrated marketing communications consultancy, has secured six nominations across six categories at the 2026 International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) Global Awards, emerging as the only Nigerian PR consultancy on the published shortlist.
The recognition adds to a growing record of international acclaim for the independent African consultancy, spanning campaign creativity, strategic impact and business performance.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Milan, Italy, on 12 November 2026. Judged by an international jury, the ICCO Global Awards recognise outstanding public relations work that demonstrates strategic insight, creative excellence and meaningful impact.
Chain Reactions Africa’s nominations span six categories: Championing Diversity for the consultancy; Consumer Goods for Deeply Rooted, developed for Orijin by Guinness Nigeria; Best Digital, New Media and Influencer Marketing Campaign, #NigeriaRebounds developed to promote the gains of Nigeria’s Economic Reform Programme; Best Use of AI in a Campaign for Show Some Luv to Mum, created for Indomie by Dufil Prima Foods; Best ESG Campaign for Customs Cares, developed for the Nigeria Customs Service; and Best Public Affairs Campaign themed From Promises to Proofs also developed to communicate the gains of President Bola Tinubu’s Economic Reform Programme.
Commenting on the recognition, Israel Opayemi, Founder and Chief Strategist at Chain Reactions Africa, said: “These nominations demonstrate that an independent African consultancy can develop distinctive and breakthrough campaign ideas that deliver meaningful outcomes while competing alongside other established global PR networks. We are proud to bring African insight and cultural intelligence to amazing works that stand up to international scrutiny by jurors drawn from around the world. For us, the real measure of communications is not visibility alone, but its ability to influence perspectives and deliver impact.”
The nominations for “From Promises to Proofs” and “#NigeriaRebounds,” both developed in support of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reform programme, underscore unmatched strength of Chain Reactions Africa in the area of public affairs and strategic communications. While “From Promises to Proofs” focused on communicating the administration’s reform agenda and progress, “#NigeriaRebounds” on the other hand provided a broader digital communications layer, extending and amplifying the campaign’s messaging across digital platforms.
The ICCO recognition comes as Chain Reactions Africa prepares for another global milestone in Chicago on 26 October 2026, where “From Promises to Proofs” will feature amongst the Top 40 campaigns selected for the 2026 Global SABRE Awards from more than 5,500 entries spanning over 60 countries. Opayemi will also speak at the event, presenting the strategic thinking behind the campaign and its intended outcomes to a global audience.
This follows Chain Reactions Africa’s performance at the 2026 Africa SABRE Awards, where it won three trophies and finished second overall in Africa. The campaign, “From Promises to Proofs,” was also a Platinum SABRE finalist in Africa. Beyond campaign recognition, Chain Reactions Africa also recently emerged as the winner in the Large Consultancy category and ranked third overall in Earned First’s inaugural Africa Consultancy Performance Index, reinforcing its standing in both creative delivery and consultancy performance.
Together, these achievements underscore Chain Reactions Africa’s growing international profile as an independent African consultancy competing on the strength of its strategic thinking, cultural intelligence, and ability to develop communications that connect ideas with meaningful outcomes.
