Another Leadership Feather: Prof. Obiora Okonkwo Installed As Patron Of Diamond Fitness Club 

Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, Chairman and Founder of United Nigeria Airlines, has been formally installed as Patron of the Diamond Fitness Club of Nigeria at its Inauguration and Year-End Ceremony held yesterday, November 7, 2026, in Lagos State.

The installation, which recognises his exemplary leadership, public service, philanthropic contributions and standing in society, further adds to his growing list of traditional, professional and social leadership responsibilities.

In further recognition of his contributions to society, Prof. Okonkwo was also honoured with an Award of Service and Excellence, alongside Chief Joseph Ukeje, Founder of Ejison Group, by the Club, which comprises accomplished businessmen and professionals drawn from across the South-East.

The recognition comes on the heels of a series of honours and appointments bestowed on Prof. Okonkwo by various academic institutions, prominent social and professional organisations in recent weeks across the length and breadth of Nigeria.
