Man Uses Shrine To Fight Ojukwu Over Garage

A 50-year old man, Mr. Dickson Mmadubuike has been arrested for bringing a deadly shrine from Enugu State to fight the Managing Director of Ekesons Motors, Chief Eugene Ojukwu over a garage in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Iddo garage in Ebute Metta, Lagos allegedly bought by Ojukwu for N23m from the owner.
It was gathered that the suspect had claimed that the park belonged to him while Ojukwu claimed that the owner sold it to him. What transpired between the suspect and Chief Ojukwu was not funny, as both were said to have maintained claim of ownership of the park.
However, as the two gladiators did not agree on who was the real owner, it degenerated to fighting and violence between the supporters of both camps in the area. It was in the midst of the fracas that the suspect went to Enugu Ezike, brought the shrine with the chief priest to Lagos, with the aim to fight and intimidate Ojukwu and his group.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the chief priest and the suspect’s camp had taken over the park before Ojukwu mobilised the police officers from Inspector General of Police IRT Department. They chased out the chief priest, arrested Mmadubuike and charged him to court.
He was brought before the Ikeja Magistrates court for conspiracy, obtaining by false pretence and conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by bringing the chief priest and taking unlawful ownership of the park.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Promise Olatunji did not object his bail condition.
Hence the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Y.O. Aje-Afunwa granted him bail in the sum of N2.2m with two sureties in like sum.
The suspect was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 19 June, 2018.
