Nigeria Vs Iceland: Ighalo May Lead Eagles’ Attack
FRANCIS ACHI/St. Petersburg, Russia

As the Super Eagles file out against Iceland in a crucial World Cup Group D game on Friday, there are strong indications that Odion Jude Ighalo may still lead the attack of the team.
Ighalo, who had a below par performance in the game against Croatia that the Eagles lost 0-2, has functioned as the top striker in training sessions and baring any unforseen circumstance, the striker may be given opportunity to redeem himself as the reliable striker that can give millions of Nigerians something to cheer against Iceland.
There is also likelihood that there may be a slight change in the midfield formation in the clash with the Icelanders as manager Gernot Rohr is likely to unleash an attacking midfield formation to create opportunities to score goals.
Millions of football loving Nigerians are apprehensive that the Eagles may kiss bye their participation at the World Cup if they lose their second consecutive game in the tournament that has not been favourable to African representatives with the crash of Egypt and Morocco out of the on – going World Cup after two consecutive losses.
