Few hours after a tanker driver killed two persons and injured many victims, another truck has smashed a woman and two kids in Lagos on the same road and same day.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on Friday at Afolabi bus stop along LASU/Igando expressway, Lagos.

The identify of the victims were yet known but an eye witness confirmed the incident as reported at Igando Police Division.
It was gathered that the initial accident by a tanker had caused an obstruction on the highway when the PSP truck driving against traffic on the road crushed the woman and her two kids while crossing to the other side of the road. The victims were rushed to the emergency unit of the Igando General hospital, but they did not make it as they have reportedly died on the way before the doctors could attend to them.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the bodies had been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report, while the driver was said to have been arrested and detained at the Igando Police Division.

When our correspondent visited Igando Police Division, the DPO was not around to comment on the matter.
However, police sources at the station confirmed the incident and asked the reporter if the victims were his relations.
The police source said that the police had expressed great concern over incidences of accidents on that road and were almost in dilemma on what to do as the road was a highway.

The residents who also expressed their concern urged the government to look towards that direction and consider constructing pedestrian bridge along the road for the residents in order to limit the accidents.

P.M.EXPRESS also gathered from the residents that the truck drivers who ply the road drive recklessness and sometimes they drive against traffic as was the case of the PSP truck that knocked down the victims and killed them on the spot.
Police sources said that the two drivers will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations for murder.
