Lady Strips Rival Naked in Public Over Betrayal

A 45-year old woman, Modinat Morufu, has been arrested after she disgraced another lady, Bolaji Ogunleye, in public by attacking and stripping her naked over suspicion of betrayal in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ekoro junction in Abule Egba area of Lagos where Modinat  accosted Bolaji, attacked her and one man identified as Ojugbele Azeez believed to be Modinat’s lover.

It was not certain if Bolaji deliberately snatched Azeez from Modinat before the fight broke out but police source said that the cause of the fight between the two women had to do with the Azeez.

She has been arrested and charged before court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and assault on the victim.

It was gathered that Modinat vented her anger on the victim when she met her with Azeez and rained blows on both of them before she tore the Ankara native clothes she was wearing. Bolaji was stripped naked down to her pant and bra before assistance came to cover her nude. Modinat also attacked Azeez which suggested that she might have been betrayed by the victims.

However, her action landed her in trouble as she was handed over to the police and was detained for her conduct before she being charged before Ogba Magistrates court for the offence.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr. Salami Olugbenga, did not oppose her being bail but asked the court to give a short date for adjournment for trial.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.I. Dan-Oni, granted Modinat bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 11th September, 2018.
