Fuji Star Rashidi Ayinde Leads Other Stars In Symbolic Display At Ilaji Resort Ileya Show

What ought to be an Eid-El Kabir get-together turned out to be the biggest concert Ona-Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State has ever witnessed.
Ilaji Stadium and Resorts Center over the weekend played host to an A- list Fuji Musician and one of the brightest Musicians Ibadan has ever produced in person of Alhaji Rashidi Ayinde Merenge who along with other musicians.
They included female Islamic songstress, Mahmuddah; Saheed Osupa replica and a new kid on the block, Saucekiddo; the physically challenged but abled voice Fuji Musician, Aro-kesse; the electrifying singer, Larondo; and a host of others.
They all held their audience spellbound as they dished out to them different brand of music from beginning till the wee hours.
The floor was opened by Saucekiddo whose sonorous voice made up for the late start of the show. Aro-kese, Mahmuddah, Larondo and the rest performed to the admirations of the audience.
But when everyone thought the gig should be rounding off, the Ogo-Ibadan crooner, Rashidi Ayinde Merenge, showed his legendary prowess as he brought the audience to their kneels.
Everyone including the young and old danced and waved their hands to the rhythms which was too much for them to resist.
To show his happiness for all the upcoming musicians, Alhaji Rashidi Ayinde asked all of them to come on stage with him as they all performed together.
The Merenge exponent now gave the audience what can be regarded as the take-away goody as he symbolically prayed for them musically which the audience responded to amidst cheers and frenzy.
The Chairman of Ilaji Stadium and Resorts Center, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, while reacting to the huge turnout of people for the show expressed his happiness for the peaceful manner the spectators conducted themselves noting that the outfit will continue to inject life to the people of the local government and its environs.
In his words, “our vision is to use sports and entertainment to eradicate social vices not only in Ona-Ara LG but within Ibadan metropolis. We have been using sports to get the young ones occupied, now we have started using entertainment to relieve the young and old of stress. Everyone can go back to their job fully reinvigorated.
“We started the musical show during the Eid-Ul-Fitri festival when we brought several Islamic singers to perform notably among them is ‘Ere-Asalatu’ and ‘Senwele-Anabi’. The Ileya Show is the second of such and I can assure you that we shall do another one during the Christmas period”, Sanusi concluded.
