The Coordinator of the Coalition of Lagos Entrepreneurs and Professionals, CLEP, and the President of Computer and Allied Products Dealers Association, CAPDAN, Comrade Adeniyi Ahmed Ojikutu, has said that the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, deserved a second term.

Ojikutu in a chat with P.M.EXPRESS said that Governor Ambode had over time shown that he believed in the saying “arm the people more with jobs so that you can arm the police less with ammunition”.

Comrade Ojikutu mentioned some of the strides of the governor which included the creation of the Ministry of Wealth Creation & Employment, providing of support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises through direct access to loans at single digit, creating more business friendly environment for small and growing businesses, for helping the creative industry and supporting innovations in no small measure.

He said it was an easy decision for him and other group of individuals to endorse Mr. Ambode for a second term in office because of the unprecedented infrastructural developments going on in Lagos State. Ojikutu said that by just driving round the state, any visitor can easily confess that different areas of the state had turned to projects sites. He mentioned particularly his amazement when he recently visited Oshodi area of the State. He said that from what he saw, the traffic gridlock witnessed in that area leading to the airport and Apapa-Oshodi Expressway will be a thing of the past by the time the Ambode led administration completes all the projects in that corridor.

Ojikutu sounded very optimistic that Mr. Ambode will pick the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and equally win the election in 2019.
