Web Designer Arrested For Defiling 16-Year Old Housemaid

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Abiodun Amosu, a 42-year old web designer, for defiling a 16-year old girl who incidentally happened to be his housemaid.

The suspect, who lives at No. 6 Sowemimo Street Ibara Housing Estate with the girl was said to have committed the crime on Thursday 25th October, 2018, in his residence while his wife was away in Lagos.

This was disclosed by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, on behalf of the Ogun State Commissioner of Police.
His arrest followed the complaint lodged at Ibara Police Division by the Benue State born victim (name withheld) who was accompanied to the police station by a member of Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR).
It was reported that the suspect forcefully dragged the housemaid into his bedroom and had carnal knowledge of her. She stated further that when she made noise after the man had his way; the suspect beat her up and sent her out of the house. It was then a CDHR member saw her and took her to the police station to report.
Upon the report, the DPO Ibara Division, SP Dada Olusegun, led detectives to the scene where the randy suspect was arrested.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that during the interrogation, the suspect initially denied the allegation but when confronted with the blood stained bedspread in his bedroom, he admitted to the commission of the offence.
The housemaid who claimed to be a virgin before the incident has been taken to General Hospital for medical attention and the medical report has confirmed that the victim was actually sexually abused.

Meanwhile, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, has directed that the case be transferred to the Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and prosecution of the suspect.
