Man, 47, Traps Teenager, Inserts Finger Into Her Private

A 47-year old man, Valentine Egwuwa, has been arrested in Lagos after he failed to lure a 13-year old teenager into sex romp by inserting his finger into her private part.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the victim resisted the urge and raised alarm which eventually led to the arrest of the suspect.

The incident happened at No. 11 Adewale Crescent in Oshodi area of the Lagos where they reside.

It was gathered that the suspect returned from work, lured the teenager into his apartment and touched her on the body before inserting his finger into her private part in order to lure her into bed for sex.

However, the victim resisted and later reported what happened to her parents. The assault was reported to the police at Gender Section of the State Command and the suspect was arrested for interrogation.
During the interrogation, the police found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for sexual assault.

The prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emerhi, informed the court that the assaulted victim was still a minor.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, ordered him to be remanded in prison custody without taken his plea and refused him bail.
The court directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to DPP for advice. The defendant was remanded in prison custody while the matter was adjourned till 12th December, 2018, for report of DPP to be available.
It was gathered that the matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP report finds him culpable. He will then face trial and if found guilty, he will spend up to the10 years in prison custody.
