Ijaw Youth Council Mourns Lulu Briggs, Shehu Shagari

The President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Barr. Pereotubo Oweilaemi, his entire Exco, and the whole Ijaw Nation joins Nigerians to mourn the sudden death of Elder Statesman and leader per excellence, His Excellency Shehu Shagari (Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria). 
In a similar vein the Council mourns the death of their foremost Ijaw leader, successful business tycoon, and Iconic stakeholder in the Niger Delta and Ijaw projects, High Chief Lulu Briggs.
In a message made available to newsmen, the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Barr. Pereotubo Oweilaemi, said:
“It is unfortunate for the nation to bear the news of the departure of these great and lengendary leaders, especially at this time when the younger generation and crop of leaders are in desperate search for wise counsel and mentorship in the bid to build the future of our dreams.”
“Indeed Nigerians shall continue to learn from the lessons of the lives of these icons, especially the indelible foot-print they left behind which will surely stand the test of time in uniting this nation.”
“We use same medium to reach out to their individual families as we pray God to grant you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, to our nation Nigeria we shall continue to hope, pray and work towards achieving true Nationhood foist on the ideals of Unity, Justice, Fairness, Equity and Peace, ideals that these great men continually fought to establish.
May their gentle souls rest in the bossom of the Lord”.
