One Lagos Fiesta: Ayodeji Omoboye Receives Car Prize

Lagos State Government Monday presented a brand new Car to the winner of the star prize in 2018 One Lagos Fiesta raffle draw, Ayodeji Omoboye, a resident of Igbogbo in Ikorodu at a brief ceremony at the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Alausa Ikeja.

The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, during the official presentation of the car and other consolation prizes, appreciated all stakeholders especially the major sponsors who he said “are the backbone of the event”.

He also stated that the One Lagos Fiesta wasn’t all about music, but also involves entertainment for the Kids, stating that “the Key component of the fiesta is to hunt for fresh talent through a competition (Lagos Grows Talent).

The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Abosede Adelaja, in her welcome remark, stated; ” Today is a fulfillment of that promise Lagos State Government had made to Lagosians and that the state makes promises and fulfils them”.

The Sponsors represented by the Marketing Manager, CIG Motors, Mr. Kayode Adejumo, expressed satisfaction that “CIG Motors is proud to sponsor the One Lagos Fiesta and he congratulated the winners and appreciate the collaboration with the Lagos Sate Government for the opportunity and promised to do more.

The winners of the consolation prizes include: Adesanya Gbenga of Agric Owutu, who won an Air Conditioner, Orenuga Funmilayo Adebimpe, won a Rechargeable Fan, while Oreoluwa Olayinka and Olalekan Yusuf won Rechargeable Lamps and Torchlights.

The winners who expressed delight and are very grateful to the organizers of the raffle draw commended the Lagos State Government and their sponsors for the innovation.

The winner of the brand new car, Omoboye, could only express his inner joy by simply stating that “I am very happy and it’s a thing of joy to me’’.

He thanked His Excellency Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, the Governor of Lagos State and Lagosians for winning a new car in a new year.

One of the winners of a consolation prize, Mr. Adesanya Gbenga, speaking at the presentation said he never expected it and is indeed very grateful to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture for keeping to their words with the presentation of the items.

The 2018 One Lagos Fiesta was a huge success with so much positive social-economic benefits to all Lagosians created for the discovery of array of young stars in various areas of entertainment, sports, music, comedy, etc.

Lots of notable artistes performed during the event, while opportunities were also created for the discovery of array of young talented stars in various areas of entertainment, sports, music, comedy etc

The presentation was attended by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Arts and Culture, Mrs. Aramide Giwanson; the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Abosede Adelaja and representatives of CIG Motors.
