Uche Ogah Is The Next Governor Of Abia State – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday made a symbolic statement at Enyimba Stadium, Aba, whilst presenting Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah with the flag of APC as the governorship candidate of the party for Abia State. He was categorical when he said to hundreds of thousands of people at the stadium and millions of viewers all over the world, “I present to you, your next governor”

President Muhammadu Buhari also used the opportunity to assure the good people of Abia State that his administration will do more in the areas of infrastructural development in the state, job creation, security and the economy.

Mr. President was earlier received by the traditional ruler of Aba in his palace. His Imperial Majesty, Eze Dr. Isaac A. Ikonne (JP), Ebyi 1 of Aba, played host to President Muhammadu Buhari, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah and other dignitaries before they proceeded to Ariaria International Market, where Mr. President commissioned an independent power project built by the Federal Government. The idea of the independent power, according to President Buhari was to help boost economic activities in Abia State, to support artisans and local producers in Aba in order to increase their output.

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who spoke earlier before Mr. President, was also emphatic about Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah becoming the next governor of Abia State. He narrated horrible experiences of Abia people in the hands of the PDP, the failure of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to develop Abia State and the wicked act of starving Abia workers and pensioners; despite billions of Naira given to him in bailout by the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari. Comrade Adams Oshiomhole said he was confident that Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah will transform Abia State and bring social upliftment to the people.

Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah on his part, promised to rebuild Abia economy. He assured the people of Aba that within two weeks after his swearing in as the governor, he will bring in Julius Berger to begin reconstruction work in the city.

Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah lamented the deplorable state of infrastructure in Aba and other parts of Abia State. He spoke of his concern for Abia State workers, a situation where their salaries are not being paid and pensioners are not being taken care of. He told the people that their time to rejoice is now. According to him, “the PDP has destroyed Abia State. Every major ongoing project in Abia State today is by the Federal Government. You can go and find out”

“But I am here to rebuild our state. I will revitalise moribund industries in Abia and transform our infrastructures. Two weeks after our swearing in, I will bring Julius Berger into Aba to begin reconstruction work”

Dignitaries at the rally included; President Muhammadu Buhari, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Governor Rochas Okorocha, Chief Niyi Adebayo, Senator Ken Nnamani, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Chief Chris Ngige, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, Rt. Hon Martins Azubuike, amongst others.

With this symbolic statement from President Muhammadu Buhari and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Abians are now assured that their votes will count and their resolve to vote in Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah is a done deal.
