The police have arrested a 25-year old man, one Horo Friday Udoh, who allegedly engaged a 7-year old girl in a sex romp inside the Military Barracks in Yaba, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Block 35, Room 6, Mayoung Barrack in Yaba, Lagos, where they reside.

A police source alleged that Udoh lured the victim into his apartment when her parents had gone to work and violated her. He reportedly forced her to remove her pant, penetrated her to his satisfaction and warned her not to tell anyone what happened before he allowed her to go.
It was learnt that in the course of a repeated defilement, the victim was injured because of the size of Udoh’s joystick. When her parents noticed changes in the little girl’s behaviour and movement, she was accosted and she revealed that Udoh had raped her severally.
The matter was reported to the police and the suspect was arrested. The matter was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for further investigation.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Udoh initially denied but when the victim confronted him and explained how it all happened, he became speechless.
The police found culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement. The offence was said to be a capital one and if the defendant is tried and found guilty, he will spend long number of years in prison.
However, his plea was not taken before the court after the prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emerhi, informed the court that the court should order for the DPP advice because of the serious nature of the offence.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, ordered him to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.
The court directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 8th April, 2019, for report of DPP advice to be available. It was also gathered that the matter may be tried at the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial.
