Posted on February 16, 2019

Royal Tons Queens need at least a draw against Arising Stars on Sunday to book a place in the semi final of the ongoing Olori Hadijat Gbadamosi Memorial Female Football Competition.

Royal Tons have garnered four points in their last two matches which means a draw with Arising Stars on Sunday at Igando Palace Playground; Alimosho will guarantee them a place in the semi final stage.

Royal Tons Coach, Royal Olajide told journalists during the week that his players are in high spirits and they are ready to give their opponents a run for their money comes Sunday. Olajide who was disappointed with his team in their last match against Fowosere Queens said their last game would be a tough one for their opponents.

“We are coming to play Arising Queens with everything. We know that a draw would qualify us for the semi final stage, but we are not coming to share points because my girls are hungry for success,” he said.

In other results, Future Stars Queens played goalless draw with Oyinkansola Babes, while Fowosere Queens forced Royal Tons to a barren draw in the regulation time.

In Under 10 male category, more matches have been played so far  when Golden Stars beat Sharp Strikers 2-1, Future Stars humbled Sunshine 3-0, while Glory FC walked-over Fowosere Feeders 3-0

Match Coordinator, Sulaiman Gbadamonsi also urged the participating players to continue abide by the spirits of sportsmanship they have been displaying since the tourney started, adding that any player found wanting would be sanctioned by the disciplinary committee during or after the game.
