Lagos Hoteliers To Sanwo-Olu: Help Look Into Issue Of Multiple Taxation

Members of the Lagos Hoteliers Association (LHA) have called on Lagos State Governor-Elect, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the lingering issue of multiple taxation when he resumes office from 29 May, 2019.
This issue, according to the president of the association, Prince Waheed Adekunle Akiloa, has become a meter of litigation between the association and Lagos State government.
While congratulating Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, the governor-elect and his deputy, Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, on their victory at the recently held governorship election, the president said: “First and foremost, we thank God for the way the general election went, despite all the prophesy, God in His infinity mercy made the election to be free and fair, go especially in Lagos State.
“That aside, we want to use this medium to congratulate Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, the Governor-elect and all elected members of Lagos State House of Assembly. The same also goes to the National leadership of All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who worked tirelessly in ensuring that his party become victorious both at the presidency and in Lagos State.
“We are using this medium to appeal to the Governor-elect, on assumption to office, to assist us in looking into the issue of multiple taxation that has become an issue of litigation between us and the outgoing government.
“We promised to contribute our own quotas and partner with your regime in ensuring that the State moves to the next level”.
Prince Akilo said the election of Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and new lawmakers, who are of All Progressive Congress (APC), is an appreciation that people the State believed in programmes and agenda of the party.
Prince Akilo, also congratulated APC National leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders of the party, for the success recorded both at the presidential election and Lagos State.
The president of the Hoteliers in Lagos State called on the Governor-elect to work hands-in-hands with all stakeholders in the State in order to move the state to the next level.
The association also congratulate all the newly elected members of State House of Assembly.
