Wizkid Called Out For ‘Stealing’ Beat
Music sensation, Wizkid has been called out by an up and coming singer known as JP for using a beat made for him for a new single featuring Teni Makaniki.
In a public appeal post via his Instagram on Thursday, Bad Boy JP, using handle, @officialbadboyjp, claimed Wizkid, who he described as his ‘favourite music idol’ and talented Teni are about to release a song who he laboured creatively to produce.
According to the relatively unknown artiste, his erstwhile producer, North Boi, had produced the beat for him until they fell apart and the producer had allegedly send both the beat and vocals to Wizkid who is featuring Teni on the new single.
His post: “Pls people one of my favorite music idol @wizkidayo & the talented @tenientertainer are about to release a song that I cracked my head & put in massive work in the studio to creatively compose with my then producer @northboitheoracle

As you all can see am coming out less than 24hrs he dropped the snippet on his Live Story without waiting for him to drop the full song so that his fans won’t accuse me of being the one that copied our LEGEND. #SayNoToBullyingOfUpcomingActs
On Wednesday, Wizkid shared a snippet of the single with fans via Instagram Live.
The song is expected to make the track list for his next album, Made in Lagos, expected to drop later in the year.
North Boi has produced some other tracks for Wizkid including Soco and Fever.
