The Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos State, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan, has charged Public Affairs Officers to propagate the policies and programmes of their respective Local Governments in relation to the Vision and Mission of Lagos State.
“The roles of Information Managers cannot be overemphasised. Gone are the days when we relied solely on traditional means of information dissemination. This is a digital age; the civil servants must move with time, else, the citizens themselves will begin to carry stories the way they understood it” Bamigbetan said.
He appealed to the Council Chairmen to provide the necessary tools for the PAOs to work with in the best interest of the Governments. He assured them of regular trainings and exposure to modern means of communication.

The Commissioner also mentioned the Ministry’s plans to facilitate a meeting of the State PAOs and the Local Government PAOs, in order to promote the One-Service-Agenda of Lagos State. The opportunity offered by the meeting was used to celebrate with the Honourable Commissioner on his birthday.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Fola Adeyemi, advised the PAOs to dream high as any excellent civil servant could get to the pinnacle of his or her career. The President, Conference of Local Government PAOs, Mrs. Enitan Olukoya, thanked the Commissioner for taking time out to explain the policies and programmes of Lagos State to the PAOs at the Local Government Areas.
