The Kogi State ALGON Chairman and Administrator of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Taufiq Isa, has refuted the ongoing rumour that the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has sacked the Local Government Administrators.

In a statement made available to newsmen, Alhaji Isa said that the Local Government Administrators have been receiving calls and messages over the matter and decided to clear the air.

He said, “I want to state that the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has enormous trust on the Local Government heads and will continue to work with them. I must state here that we have not received such directive from His Excellency”.

“I want to equally on behalf of other Administrators thank and commend GYB Leaders across the State, Party Executives headed by the State Party Chairman, the Kogi State Chief of Staff, Hon.(Chief)  Edward Onoja and the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Sadiqu Ohere, for the massive roles they played in the recent National Assembly and House of Assembly Elections; where the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kogi State for the first time cleared all the House of Assembly seats.”

“I also want to urge our supporters and the general public to disregard such rumours as it is an imaginary thinking of mischief makers who are hell bent on bringing this government down. There is no such plan anywhere for now. I implore all those peddling this rumour to desist and contribute meaningfully to move the State forward” Alhaji Isa concluded.
