MICHAEL AKINOLA
The Police at Ikotun Division, Lagos, have commenced manhunt for Naval Officers who went to a popular hotel for pool side outing with some ladies but ended up attacking the hotel staff for refusing them the use of the facility.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the popular Don CY Hotelz & Suites located at Governor’s Road in Ikotun area of Lagos.
The identities of the officers were not disclosed but the victim claimed he will be able to identify the officers as may be captured by the CCTV installed at the hotel.
It was gathered the officers brought the ladies at about 5am, met the hotel staff identified as Isaac and indicated that they wanted to use the pool at that period. The staff explained to them that they will be not able to use the pool at that time of the day and declined their request. Isaac’s response reportedly infuriated them as they had prepared their minds to have fun with the ladies. They were said to have descended on him and inflicted injuries on him.
This was confirmed by the owner of the hotel, Ambassador Cyril Ezewele, who expressed disappointment over the conduct of the Nigeria Police and security agents as a whole.
He said that the conduct of the naval officers has shown the high level of moral burden and indiscipline in the Nigerian Military which calls for Government’s urgent attention in order to sanitize the whole entire Force.
On the side of police, Ezewele noted that the conduct of the Police was getting worse every day because they have continued to disappoint the citizens. He said when the Naval officers were causing problem in the hotel, he dialed the Rapid Respond Squad, RSS emergency numbers 112 & 767 and they promised that they were coming but that they did not call back or come to the place to know what actually happened. He noted that such conduct has shown that there was no security of lives and property and people who break the laws are safe in Nigeria.
