The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu, has rolled out his achievements in the last four months in office as the State Command boss.

Police boss observed that their collective efforts yielded positive results noting that within the last four months, the Command arrested 159 suspects for armed robbery, kidnapping and cultism as well as recovering 43 arms and 84 ammunition.

According to him, “our prompt response to distress calls helped in foiling 80 armed robbery attempts. 14 cases of suicide and attempted suicide were recorded.

Concerning the increasing rate of suicide taking place in Lagos and how the Police were working to arrest the situation, the Commissioner of Police stated that “it is not within the purview of the Police to tell you why some persons are taking their lives”. ” We all live in the society and we all know what obtains in the society today.

The CP advised Lagosians to take things easy. According to him, Lagosians should take things easy, as the society is tough .
He said, I do not see any reason somebody should just end his life no matter the situation he or she finds him or herself; they should believe God for changes,  I think somebody is worse off than you, so taking one’s life is not the solution to the problem. Lagosians were advised to think twice, before anyone can think of doing such a heinous thing to himself
