Man, 56, Defiles Girl, 14, In Hotel

A 56-year old man, Yoroh Charles, who reportedly prefers to sleep with under aged girls, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he took a 14-year old girl to a popular hotel and allegedly defiled her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the popular Aboru Hotel in Aboru area of Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, where they reside.

It was gathered that the suspect, Charles, reportedly lured the victim to hotel after he had enticed her with money. At the hotel, he was said to have engaged her in a sex romp by forcefully penetrating her.


The whole thing got exposed after the victim confessed how the suspect, Charles, reportedly confused and defiled her in the hotel.

The matter was reported to the police and he was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for investigation.
During investigation, Charles was said to have admitted that he slept with her but that it was an agreement between them; that he did not force her as claimed.

However, the police found him culpable because the victim was a minor and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement.
The prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP because it was a case of defilement which involving a minor.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, ordered the defendant, Charles, to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail. The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice while he will remain in prison custody pending the outcome of DPP’s report.
The matter was adjourned till 3rd June, 2019.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the case may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial.
