Buruj Management Throws Door Open For New Players

Posted on June 6, 2019

Still basking in the euphoria of their giant strides in grassroots soccer development and exposure of young talents to foreign tournaments, the management of Buruj Sports Academy are poised to discover more young talents this year with a view to grooming them and create unique platform for them to shine.

The Ikorodu, Lagos based academy has been in the forefront of helping young talents to attain their dreams in football and they are preparing to ship another set of youngsters to feature in this year’s edition of English and Welsh Super Cup in the United Kingdom.

There are still other international invitations on the cards and it is in this light the management led by the CEO, Salaudeen Waheed, are calling on parents and guardians who want to sponsor their wards to come forward to register them so that they can be trained for the upcoming outings where they can showcase their talents and potentials.

And with the ever-growing international connection and partnership they are forming, there’s no doubt that more windows of opportunity will be opened for the registered players to play their way to stardom.

It would be recalled that following the exploits of some of the players that featured in the last year’s edition of the English Super Cup in Manchester, some English lower division clubs offered some of them the opportunity for trials and those that excel are on the brink of combining their football career with academic pursuit ahead of becoming full professionals in a not too distant future.

The management of the academy is already working towards making this year’s outings beginning with the one coming up between July and August to expose more of them and both the old and new players will be given equal right to prove their mettle.

Most of the players who will feature in the United Kingdom leg of the outings this year have been issued their travel visas by the British High Commission and the camp is already bubbling with activities ahead of the contingent departure to the Queensland.
