Police, Shi’ite Clash Again In Abuja

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria protesting and demanding the release of their leader, El-Zakzaky, today again clashed with the Police in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Central Area in Abuja was very hot this afternoon as members of the Shiite set clashed with the law enforcement agents, who prevented their movement.

The members of set in their numbers in the process were said to have set the NEMA Mobile Post around the area on fire while the Police made efforts to push them back and shot sporadically into the air.
Commuters and motorists were seen making quick diversions to avoid being caught up in the fracas.

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria were said to have vowed to continue with their protest until their leader is released by the authorities. P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the upsurge in their protest was fueled by speculations that their leader, El-zakzaky, was poisoned in custody.
