IGP Adamu Receives Applause Over Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) Initiative

Ahead of the National Flag off of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) in Enugu on 29 August, 2019 by the Inspector General of police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Matchmakers Consult and the owner of Nigeria Pitch Award, Mr. Shina Philips has applauded the effort of the Nigeria Police chief for coming up with such initiative in line with the principle of community oriented policing which will further make Nigerian communities more safer and secured.

Shina Philips made this known when he paid  a courtesy visit on the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), SP Ebere Amaraizu recently to associate Matchmakers Consult with this laudable project of IGP Adamu
According to him, this project of the IGP is laudable and timely, adding that it is in line with standard of international best practices given that it is very proactive in nature.
“I am here to formally register the partnership of Matchmakers  Consult and to commend the IGP on this laudable initiative. We will continue to support this laudable project and by the  grace of God, we are one of the partners of  POCACOV.
“I want to call on Nigerians, government agencies, corporate organisations and other relevant stakeholders to join hands in this nationwide campaign against cultism and other vices by throwing their supports on the Nigeria Police to take this message down to the grassroots,:” said Phillips, an international security assessor.
Responding, the National Coordinator of POCACOV, SP Ebere Amaraizu thanked Shina Phillips and the Matchmakers Consult for their continual support to POCACOV and agreeing further with the partnership to ensure that the awareness get to all the nooks and crannies of the country.
Amaraizu maintained that  the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abuubar Adamu has structured the community driven programme in such a manner that it will cut across all the stakeholders with various tactics and strategies as contained in the IGP”s Work Plan. He added that the Work Plan will be used to commence deployment of the POCACOV in the 36 states of the federation including the  Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
“We shall commence immediate deployment of this all-important  campaign after the National Flag Off by the Inspector General of Police  on 29 August  in Enugu. The flag off preparation is on and the Nigeria Policing Programne (NPP)  is with the Nigeria Police in this flag off and the entire campaign .
P.M. EXPRESS reports that the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the flag off of POCACOV in Enugu, Solomon Akpanufot has actually put a lot of things down with his committee for a smooth flag off.
Akpanufot is the State Intervention Lead of the Nigeria Policing Programme (NPP) in Enugu and  he is coordinating with the Lead Consultant of POCACOV,  Mr. Akinola Emmanuel who also is the Head of Global Concept Resources and one of the POCACOV partnering firm.
