Landlord’s Wife Slaps Tenant During Argument

A landlord’s wife, Mrs. Folashade Fabowumi, has landed in trouble in Lagos after she allegedly slapped her tenant, Olatunde Coker, for engaging her in an argument in their compound.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ifelodun Street, Ejigbo area of Lagos where they reside.
It was gathered that the complainant, Mr. Coker, moved into the compound unknown to him that tenants do not argue with Mrs. Folashade in the compound. He was said to have disagreed with Folashade over an undisclosed matter which prompted her to grab him, gave him dirty slaps on the face and tore his clothes.
The alleged assault was reported to the Police at Ejigbo Division and Folashade was arrested. After interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before Ejigbo Magistrates Court for assault.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty for Police to prove that she actually committed the offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade, granted her bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.
However, she was remanded in custody pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
The matter was adjourned till 21st October, 2019.
