Facts have emerged on how officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, brutally murdered a 36-year old man, Odion Omafo Samuel, over bribe and buried his corpse in a shallow grave.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the corpse of late Samuel has been dug out of a shallow grave after it was buried allegedly by four officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) attached to Abudu outpost in Edo State.

The suspected officials included Francis Igboh, Sunday Ogi, Samson Alolade and Joseph Onolade.

According to Police sources, Samuel was beaten to death after he ordered his hired driver not to give them a bribe when they were flagged down at Okhuaihe Hill along Benin-Agbor Road on 14th October, 2019.

It was gathered that the late Samuel joined the driver to resist alleged extortion attempts by the FRSC officers and it led to fisticuffs. The driver was said to have fled the scene; Samuel was beaten to a pulp and was later rushed to the hospital, where he eventually died. The FRSC officials were said to have buried him in a bush thereafter.

The Police said that his driver was then arrested for kidnap when the deceased did not return home but his explanation of their encounter with the FRSC officials led to a detailed investigation and two of the four FRSC officials were arrested.

The two FRSC officers, Francis Igboh and Samson Alolade, took investigators to the bush where the decomposing body of Samuel was evacuated.
It was learned that the suspects accused late Samuel of snatching their booking tickets but the deceased was no longer alive to defend the allegations.

However, the secrecy of his burial inside the bush confirmed that he was actually murdered.
The incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, who stated that it was a case of murder.
