Police operatives from Olosan Division in Mushin area of Lagos, led by SP Ayodele Arogbo, have arrested a man, Ibrahim Aliu, who was allegedly caught by neighbours engaging a 10-year old boy in anal sex.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Paul Oguntola Street, Idi Araba area of Lagos, where the victim resides with his parents while the suspect, Aliu, resides at Oko Baba area of Ebute Metta, Lagos.

It was gathered that Aliu visited his friend and lured the victim into his friend’s apartment. While there, he reportedly removed his trouser and forcefully penetrated the boy’s anus after rubbing a cream on his dick.

The victim was said to have not raised alarm. The noise attracted one of their neighbours, who caught them in the act and equally raised alarm to attract other neighbours. Aliu was apprehended and handed over to the Police at Olosan Division.
The suspect was taken to the Police station and there he admitted that he sexually molested the victim to satisfy his sexual desire.
Hence, he was found culpable and charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Edet Akadu, informed the Court that it was a serious case of defilement by penetration through the anus.
The prosecutor asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the presiding Magistrate, Mr. K.O Ogundare, ordered Aliu remanded in prison custody without an option of bail. The Court asked the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 16th December, 2019 for report of the DPP to be available.
The matter may likely be transferred to the High Court if the DPP’s report finds him culpable and recommends that he should be tried for defilement.
