Man, 50, Docked For Inserting Finger Inside Little Girl’s Private Part

A 50-year old man, Lateef Kareem, who reportedly enjoys putting finger into under aged girls private parts has been arrested in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Kareem was arrested after he allegedly lured his neighbour’s 7-year old girl into his apartment and unlawfully inserted his finger into her private part in order to satisfy his sexual desire.

The incident happened at Charity Road, New Oke-Oba area of Lagos, where he resides with the victim’s parents.

However, the dastardly act was exposed after Kareem had satisfied himself and then allowed the victim to go. The victim then went home and told her parents about what happened and the matter was reported to the Police. Kareem was arrested and detained at the Police Station for interrogation.
He initially denied but the victim was brought before him; she demonstrated and explained how he removed her pant and inserted his finger into her private part.
During investigation, it was gathered that Kareem had done such in the past to other little girls before the victim exposed him.
The Police found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for statutory rape which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E. Nwaka, ordered him remanded in prison custody without an option of bail and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 13th February, 2020, for report of the DPP to be ready.
