How Man, 22, Jumped Into Lagoon

Facts have emerged on how a 22-year old man moved from a hospital at Gbagada area of Lagos with an Uber driver and later jumped into lagoon in the course of the ride.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the weekend on the 3rd Mainland Bridge inward Adeniji Adele Road, Lagos Island.

The man, identified as one Daibo Toju Davies, Male, born 22nd July, 1998, was residing at No. 17 Sosanya Street Gbagada Soluyi, Lagos. He was said to have activated the Uber ride from Mercy Hospital, Gbagada to an undisclosed place towards Lagos Island. By the time they got to the bridge, he reportedly forced the driver to stop, alighted and immediately jumped into the lagoon.

Investigation conducted revealed that the victim informed the Uber driver of stomach upset. The driver stopped at his request before he then jumped off the bridge.

The incident has raised a lot of reactions. Many wondered what would have led the young man to commit suicide. However, some of the people said it could be as a result of frustration, which he was unable to manage and he decided to end his life.
