CLO Commends Pope Over Creation Of Ekwulobia Diocese & Appointment Of Bishop Okpalaeke

The Chairman of Civil Liberties Organisation, CLO, Anambra State branch,
Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, has extolled the Catholic Pontiff, His Holiness
Pope Francis, on his recent creation of Ekwulobia Diocese from Awka Diocese
in Anambra State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by Comrade Ezekwueme while stating that it was an indication of the Pontiff’s love for the Catholic Church in Nigeria.
“Ekwulobia Diocese is long overdue
considering spirituality and the numerical strength of the new Diocese. I
commend the Holy Father in his unique and wise decision in finding Ekwulobia worthy
of a Diocese and subsequent appointment of His Lordship Bishop Peter Ebere
Okpalaeke as pioneer Bishop of the new Diocese”.
He noted that there was no doubt in his mind that the revered Bishop has what
is takes to serve and save the souls of the faithfuls under his care.
Ezekwueme said that the new Diocese will bring rapid spiritual and
infrastructural growth including the development of entire clergy and lay
faithfuls.
“I called on the clergies and lay faithfuls to give His Lordship Bishop
Okpalaeke maximum support and solidarity especially to always remember
him and the Diocese in prayers” Ezekwueme posited.
