Edo 2020 NSF: Team Lagos’ 680 Athletes Begin Closed Camping On Monday, 9 March

After successful trials to screen and select athletes who will represent Lagos State at the forthcoming Edo 2020 National Sports Festival, Lagos State Sports Commission will begin a Closed camping for its Athletes from Monday, 9th March.
The closed camping, which will hold for 13 days, will end on 21st March.
P.M. EXPRESS understands that no fewer than 680 athletes will be involved in the closed camping which will hold at Agbowa Relief Camp, Ikorodu and the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
Team Lagos will take part in 40 Sports that comprise 8 team sports and 32 individual Sports at this year’s National Sports Festival in Edo State which takes place from 20th March – 2nd April.
Team Lagos athletes before now, have been subjected to rigorous training in preparation for the 20th NSF tagged Edo 2020.

Athletes camped at Agbowa will be training at the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu and Strong Tower Academy, Ikorodu, Model College, Igbogbo, those to be camped at the Teslim Balogun Stadium will be trained at the National Stadium in Surulere and Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar said that all hands will be on deck to ensure that Team Lagos have a successful outing at the Edo 2020, adding that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has always been supporting the Sports Commission towards the preparation for the Sports Festival.
The Director General enjoined all the Athletes to be focused on the task ahead.
He disclosed that everything the athletes will need while in camp and more importantly during the Festival in Edo State will be provided.
