The case of Victor Ojiaku, an auto spare parts dealer at Ladipo Market, Mushin, Lagos who stabbed his wife, Faith in her private part over an allegation of adultery has been stalled following the inability of Ejigbo Magistrate’s court to sit on Monday.
The court then adjourned the matter till 22 February for trial due to a Conference organised for Magistrates by the Lagos State Government.
Both the victim and the suspect appeared in court before the matter was adjourned to the next date.
At the court, Victor was seen in front of the court trying to discourage Faith from continuing with the matter in court.
However, it appeared that settlement is far from the couple as the wife was seen leaving the court premises alone.

She however told our correspondent that what matters to her now was her health and the their three months old baby.
Ojiaku attacked his 27-year-old wife, Faith Ojiaku, a mother of three at their home in White Sand, Isheri-Osun in Lagos State.
He reportedly accused her of sleeping with his (Victor) apprentice, a claim the wife denied.
This later turned awry as Victor battered his wife and after the battery, he reportedly locked Faith up for two days, making it impossible for her to call any family member or friend in order to seek medical attention.
When she was eventually allowed to seek medical attention, she used a doctor’s phone to call her sister who works with the Lagos State Domestic and S*xual Violence Response Team, who took up the matter and reported it to the police.
Victor was however arrested and charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court with grievous harm under the Criminal Code.

He was later granted bail but was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail.
