Rivers Police Directs Officers To Jettison State Curfew And Enforce FG’s 10pm To 4am

The Police in Rivers State have directed its men to enforce the compliance of the curfew declared by the Federal Government, which begins at 10pm to 4am daily.


The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, also directed Police officers in the State not to implement the curfew earlier imposed by the Rivers State Government, which ought to begin at 8pm to 6am daily.


Omoni argued that since both curfew times are meant to meet the target, that of the Federal Government supersedes, in keeping with the constitutional provisions of the country.


The PPRO advised members of the public who suffer harrassment in in the hands of police officers as a result of the conflicting time to call the Police Emergency phone lines or his mobile line:0803 200 3514
