Lagos State Begins Picking Of Looters For Prosecution

The Lagos State Government may have started arresting those who looted both public and private properties during the violence that followed #EndSARS protest in the State.
Thus, the Ministry of Justice will be prosecuting suspects who allegedly took advantage of the #EndSARS protests to destroy and loot public and private property in different parts of the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as disclosed by the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN.
Many shops, offices including companies were broken into and items found inside were looted to such extent that many families and companies lost all their life savings over the violence.
Lagos State alone lost about 84 luxury buses worth over N3.5b, many Police Stations were burnt while shops and offices burgled with items looted.
He called on Lagosians to maintain peace, law and order in their respective communities, pledging the commitment of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration to uphold the rule of law at all times.
He revealed that the State Director of Public Prosecution, Mrs. Olayinka Adeyemi, has gone round relevant Police formations with a team of Prosecutors to evaluate files of those arrested by the Police with a view to determining those that have prima facie case made against them.









That will serve them better and tell the younger ones that you can go free with any bad act.Please prosecute them as early as possible.The popular saying that, the justice delay is justice denial.Our people will say”Teni begi loju igi aruwe”
