Senator Ekwunife Mourns Highlife Music Legend, Prince Morocco Maduka

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has mourned the demise of highlife music legend, Prince Morocco Maduka (Ozonweluibe na Dunukofia).
Senator Ekwunife joins family, friends and fans of the late music legend in expressing sadness over the death of the popular highlife musician.
Reminiscing one of Prince Morocco’s most famous songs, ‘Ochuba Aku’, Senator Ekwunife describes the late veteran singer’s songs as ageless and most instructive. She noted that Prince Morocco, who hails from Ukwulu in Anambra Central Senatorial District, enlightened and educated people of different generations using his music, and will be greatly remembered for his immense contributions in promoting the Igbo culture and teachings through his timeless songs.
In her words, “I received with sadness the news of the demise of the King of Ekpili Music, a worthy son of Anambra Central Senatorial District and Anambra State, Prince Morocco Maduka. For 60 years, Prince Morocco taught life lessons through his timeless, ageless and melodious music. It is therefore with sadness that I join his fans all over the world to mourn him. Anambra State and Igbo highlife music lovers all over the world have indeed lost a golden musician who will be sorely missed by all and sundry”.
The Senator on behalf of her family and the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District also extended her heartfelt sympathies to the family of the late music legend. She prayed God to grant the departed eternal rest and give his family the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
