CSP Oyin Francess Bags Another Award As Peace Ambassador & Chieftaincy Title

“We don’t have Gold or Silver to give you but we will continue to pray for you for God’s blessing upon your life and will continue to tell the story whenever we go for averting bloodshed and ethnic crisis in Okota, Lagos, during the 2019 election, which turned violent”
That was the submission of the Chairman of ethnic traditional rulers and Ezendigbo Lagos, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, while conferring CSP Oyin Francess with a chieftaincy title as Ocho Udo Ndigbo in Lagos State.

Eze Nwachukwu, who recalled that if not for the efforts of CSP Oyin, to rescue one Demola alive and calm the tension in Ago,Okota area, there would have been unprecedented violence and breakdown of law and order during the 2019 election.

He said, “The Igbo community recognized what you have done and what you are doing as a Senior Police Officer to change the image of the Nigerian Police and agreed to honour you to in order to encourage you to do more”.

CSP Oyin Francess has been the recipient of several awards in the past apart from the current Chieftaincy title.

The feats Oyin Francess achieved before and after the 2019 election by averting ethnic crisis when she was DPO Ago Palace, Okota, before she was transferred to Aswani Division, Lagos, have continue to attract recognition by groups and individuals.

CSP Oyin was among the recipients of Doctorate of Arts award honor, (D Arts)/by the European American University Commonwealth of Dominican Africa Regional Operation. The event took place on Saturday 18th July, 2020, at NECA house, Hakeem Balogun way in Alausa Secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos.

The Coordinator in Nigeria, Dr. J.C.Egbuta, while giving the award, said that Dr. Oyin was found worthy in character and was recognized for her contributions to economic, political and social welfare of the society.

CSP Oyin has been outstanding in her performance in community policing scheme of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State and the IGP by partnering the community for effective policing in her Division. It is on record that during the Covid-19 lockdown, CSP Oyin provided palliatives for members of the Community in her Division and beyond. 

During the #EndSARS protest, which later turned violent, her station was prevented from being attacked by hoodlums due to the near perfect relationship with the members of the community.

For these efforts, an outfit, Our Day Media, has given her an award for superb community policing by providing palliatives to her community during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Shamsudeen Abiodun Olaleye, has equally recognized CSP Oyin by presenting her an award excellence for proper handling of security issues and maintenance of peace within and around the LCDA.
