Alex Otti Commissions Road Project, Promises More Interventions In Isuikwuato

A renowned Economist and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti OFR, has commissioned the strategic Mbalanano/Umuasua Road in Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State, which he attracted through the NDDC.

Commissioning the 4.5 kilometre road project on Wednesday, 30th December, 2020, the financial expert disclosed that he leveraged on his network of contacts and relationship with those in power to attract the road project,and explained that he was motivated by the need to ameliorate the sufferings of the people of the area who were suffering immensely before they could move in and out of their communities.

Dr. Otti restated his affirmed position that he’s not a politician who’s looking for political power to advance personal economic gains, but a technocrat who’s driven by the quest to better the economic fortunes of Abians, and assured the people of Isuikwuato that he will redouble efforts to assist the people with more impactful projects.

Speaking at the occasion, the President General Umusua Progressive Association, Rotn. Chief. Gideon Akanwoke explained that the people of the area never anticipated that such a massive gesture could come from an individual and added that the joy and excitement felt by the people propelled them to confer Dr. Otti with a special chieftaincy tittle of “Ihie Mba One of Umuasua” a tittle he said had never been conferred on anyone before.

Speaking at his country home where he hosted Dr. Otti after the main event, an illustrious son of the community and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Barr. Ken Ahia expressed gratitude to Dr. Otti for putting smiles on the faces of his people whom he said suffered terribly plying the strategic road before Otti’s intervention.

Barr. Ahia reveled that the road was alleged to have been repeatedly put in the budget by different Abia State governments without anything being done, and disclosed that the number of people, especially elderly men and women, as well as children who trooped out to celebrate Dr. Otti for that rare gesture to Isiukwuato people clearly showed his people’s depth of gratitude to him.

In his contribution, a respected son of Isuikwuato and former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, described Dr. Otti as a man of high standing, and praised him for his goodwill which he said has brought so much joy to the people.

He made it clear that a man is not measured by the amount of money he has, but the number of people he attracts to himself through goodwill, and stated that his respect for the people of the area has rapidly increased because of the gratitude they showed to Dr. Otti through such a massive reception and urged them to keep it up.

Earlier in his speech while conferring the APC Chieftain with a Chieftaincy tittle of “Ihie Mba One of Umuasua” the traditional ruler of Umusua Autonomous Community, Eze Dr. U.G. Ugbom poured royal encomium and blessings on Dr. Otti, describing him as a rare gem that has brought light to that part of Isuikwuato, and assured the financial expert of unprecedented blessing and breakthrough as he intensifies effort aimed at changing the lives of Abians for the better.
