Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Lagos West), the Chairman Senate Committee on Finance, has commiserated with Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, on the demise of his younger brother, Dr. Haroun Hamzat yesterday.

In a condolence message to the Deputy Governor, the Senator said the death of Haroun at a relatively young age of 37 is not just a loss to the Hamzat family and Lagos State but also the nation, Nigeria, in this era of COVID-19 pandemic where there is ever present need for frontline personnel.

“It is a sad development that we are losing such a skilled young man at a time when his services to the people is sorely needed” he stated.

While urging all Nigerians to continue to abide by prescribed COVID-19 safety and precautionary protocols in view of its virulent resurgence, Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss.
