British Airways Offer Nigerian Students $300 Return Ticket Lifeline

Posted on March 15, 2017

British Airways has announced that it will be charging eligible Nigerian students as low as $300 for return tickets.

The student fair is eligible to students who seek to go abroad for degree-awarding programmes.

The campaign, which begins in March 2017, will offer students who desire to study overseas, access to promotional fares tailored to their travel budgets.

According to the company, the offer is its effort to cushion the expense of students studying outside the country in view of Nigeria’s economic recession.

“It has become important to manage travel budgets in the times that we are in and that is why British Airways has introduced the Student fare especially to assist Parents that desire to continue giving their children or wards quality education,” said Kola Olayinka, British Airways country general manager.

“The British Airways Student fare program will be convenient as it fits into the fixed academic schedule of Universities abroad, thus making it easy for British Airways to plan bookings made by the students,” he added.

The airline company says the initiative is part of its student fare campaign.

To create awareness about the campaign, the airline will be organising the British Airways Student Fair at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

Eligibility for the British Airways student fare is proof of enrollment in a formal, higher educational institution in Nigeria or abroad.
